biography

I'm a photographer and artist based in the Blue Mountains & Sydney. Working across a range of genres, my work is a balance between natural simplicity, and editorial style. As a photographic artist who works primarily in portraiture and fine art photography - my artworks are most often an observation, rather than constructed concepts. Influenced by a desire to pause and still my subjects, my aim is to capture poignant, fleeting moments, seemingly between states, when one is most present - most conscious - and hold this space. In the commercial service sphere - with a background and qualifications in web design and commercial photography, I'm able to provide content creation that compliments and works seamlessly on all digital platforms. On weekends I can be found traipsing amongst the ritual celebrations we call weddings, at the whim of those in love.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF NGURRA

The City of the Blue Mountains is located within the Ngurra (Country) of the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples. MTNS MADE recognises that Dharug and Gundungurra Traditional Owners have a continuous and deep connection to their Country and that this is of great cultural significance to Aboriginal people, both locally and in the region. For Dharug and Gundungurra People, Ngurra takes in everything within the physical, cultural and spiritual landscape – landforms, waters, air, trees, rocks, plants, animals, foods, medicines, minerals, stories and special places. It includes cultural practice, kinship, knowledge, songs, stories and art, as well as spiritual beings, and people: past, present and future. Blue Mountains City Council pays respect to Elders past and present while recognising the strength, capacity and resilience of past and present Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Blue Mountains region.
