Known for its leafy streets, heritage cottages and boutique village atmosphere, Leura is a natural magnet for creative professionals. Its elegance and quiet confidence are reflected in the work of the many MTNS MADE members who base their studios, workshops and practices here.

Leura is home to interior designers, florists, brand strategists, stylists, fine artists, and fashion designers whose work blends sophistication with a strong sense of place. Leura’s creative identity is boutique, refined, and deeply connected to the landscape and architecture that surrounds it.

The town is a destination for visitors and locals alike with many creatives here operate thriving retail or studio-based businesses alongside remote work and national collaborations. Whether you’re sourcing handcrafted jewellery, commissioning illustration, or seeking a graphic designer to elevate your brand, Leura is full of talented locals.

This is also a place where creatives find clarity. The slower pace, walkable village, and access to nature create ideal conditions for thoughtful design, refined craft, and focused production. Many makers here favour sustainable practices and limited-edition approaches, offering an alternative to big-city churn.

If you’re looking for creative collaborators who value quality, detail and connection, Leura offers both talent and vision — with a unique Blue Mountains sensibility.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF NGURRA

The City of the Blue Mountains is located within the Ngurra (Country) of the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples. MTNS MADE recognises that Dharug and Gundungurra Traditional Owners have a continuous and deep connection to their Country and that this is of great cultural significance to Aboriginal people, both locally and in the region. For Dharug and Gundungurra People, Ngurra takes in everything within the physical, cultural and spiritual landscape – landforms, waters, air, trees, rocks, plants, animals, foods, medicines, minerals, stories and special places. It includes cultural practice, kinship, knowledge, songs, stories and art, as well as spiritual beings, and people: past, present and future. Blue Mountains City Council pays respect to Elders past and present while recognising the strength, capacity and resilience of past and present Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Blue Mountains region.
